For Humboldt and Del Norte counties’ older adults and their families, caregivers and service providers, the Senior Information & Assistance (I & A) program is the gateway for information, help, and support to those in need. Professional Resource Specialists provide information through face-to-face, telephone or virtual consultations. In these meetings, specialists assess individual and family needs and organize referrals to appropriate resources.
Whether providing information to family members, ensuring access to emergency food and electricity, collaborating with other organizations to combat abuse and fraud, or partnering with federal, state and local agencies to ensure that isolated older adults are able to stay connected to their community, the I & A program is here to help older adults say connected, healthy and safe.
