Resource Speakers
Give presentations to groups of students on a variety of topics and utilize visual aids such as slides, maps, or artifacts to enhance classroom studies. Classroom Volunteers
Work individually with students to help them grasp difficult concepts in math, reading, and writing. Some children just need that little bit of extra support and encouragement in order to learn. Share in a child’s learning experience and see how you can make a difference in a child's life!Back to Top
Pen Pals
Exchange letters with 5th or 6th graders in selected classes in Humboldt County. You can provide students with an incentive to improve their written communication skills by writing just one letter a month. You can share your life and dreams with a young person, and at the end-of-the-school-year party, you get to meet your new friend face to face!To get involved or learn more, send an email, or call 442-3711.
