The HICAP Program offers free Medicare counseling by appointment. Staff is also available to speak to organizations and offers Medicare workshops through the College of the Redwoods. See the general HICAP tab for additional information.
The Volunteer Center of the Redwoods, or VCOR provides information about volunteer opportunities in the community for ages 18 and over. These volunteers may be eligible for limited mileage reimbursement for certain activities, are covered by supplemental accident and personal liability insurance, and receive ongoing support that includes training and volunteer recognition.
Information and Assistance services will be provided by an A1AA Resource Specialist at the Del Norte Senior Center the third Friday of every month beginning January 18, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
