Volunteer Coordinator/Outreach Specialist, Long Term Care Ombudsman Program (Eureka)

Compensation:  $16/hour
Employment type:  part-time, non-exempt position (28 hours/week, Monday-Thursday)
Non-profit organization

Responsibilities include marketing and community outreach activities to promote awareness of Long Term Care Ombudsman Program (LTCOP); recruiting & recognition of volunteers; long term care facilities; and working with residents and families to resolve complaints.

Provide Supplement Plans, Medicare Prescription Drug Plans and long-term care insurance. Must be have excellent computer skills and able to understand and clearly communicate complex information. This position has the possibility of progressing to a management-level position.

Responsible for the day-to-day management and supervision of Information and Assistance (I&A), Volunteer Driver Program and other services in Humboldt county.  Work with community members, local governmental and non-profit agencies, committees, and boards as appropriate to ensure coordination and provision of responsive and accessible services.
