The California Senior Legislature (CSL) was formed in 1981 to provide a community level senior advocacy. CSL members are responsible for the creation of legislative bill proposals. Statewide, members of CSL meet for an annual session in October in Sacramento to discuss and prioritize the bill proposals.
The A1AA Advisory Council conducts a local CSL election every two years. Taking office as CSL members in October 2006 will be Senior Senator Rick Bennett and Senior Assemblymember Sharon McKinney.
