Senior Action Coalition

Please join us for the convening meeting of the Senior Action Coalition! This grass-roots group will be made up of older adults from throughout our community who are interested in working together. Our goal is to strengthen the voice of seniors regarding decisions being made and to take action to address pressing challenges. Coalition members will determine what issue effecting older adults they wish to focus on and will receive support from the Area 1 Agency on Aging to engage in advocacy.
On May 1 and 2, there will be a Senior Action Leadership Academy for participants of the Senior Action Coalition to develop shared knowledge and skills for our work together.
The Project for Senior Action is looking for a few volunteers who might be interested in helping to organize this initial meeting, and to help us get the word out to all parts of the community. If you have an organization or group we can present to, we would love to widen the net to make sure as many folks who are interested can attend.
