CalFresh Service Coordinator (Click HERE for full description)
Full time 35 hours per week (non-exempt position). $21.00-$23.00 (hourly).

The CalFresh Healthy Living (CFHL SNAP-Ed) Program supports healthy, active, and nourished lifestyles by teaching about good nutrition, how to stretch food dollars, and physical activity. The CalFresh Expansion Program provides application assistance to eligible adults over the phone and in-person and conducts outreach to help people understand benefits. The Staying Active and Independent for Life (SAIL) program uses trained volunteers to teach evidence-based strength and balance exercise classes.

The CalFresh Service Coordinator provides outreach, application assistance, and education related to CalFresh and oversees the SAIL program. The Coordinator provides primary support for and supervision of CalFresh and SAIL volunteers. This position could be based in either Humboldt or Del Norte County. Travel in both counties required. May be required to work weekends.

Full time, non-exempt position (35 hours/week). Starting range is $21.00-$23.00/hour. Generous holiday, vacation, sick leave, health, and dental package.

HICAP Counselor/Volunteer Coordinator (Click HERE for full description)
35 hours per week (non-exempt position). $19.50-$21.50 (hourly) $35,490-$39,130 (annually)

Provides information and advocates for Medicare eligible clients. Duties include informing the public and all interested parties about Medicare and other private health insurance programs related to Medicare, as well as assisting Medicare beneficiaries through direct counseling and informal advocacy to support informed decision making. Under the direction of the HICAP Manager, provides primary support for and supervision of HICAP volunteers including recruitment, training, scheduling, and technical assistance.

BA or BS Degree with major course work in social services, health services, or public administration or four years of experience in increasingly responsible positions in social services, education, or health care fields.

Passion for and experience with helping older adults and people with disabilities.

Valid driver’s license, insurance, and a clean driving record. Ability to travel within the bi-county area independently. 18 years of age or older.
