This is a free service provided each year to a limited number of eligible seniors who live alone. The goal is to make the home environment safer and help seniors continue to live independently through safety assessments and minor home chores. It is funded by the Older Americans Act and donations. An individual needs assessment will be completed to identify services needed the most. Some of the services provided through this program include:
- Decluttering the home
- Organization of items, paperwork etc
- Minor household cleaning
- Assisting with food security
- Connecting to additional long term services or resources
